General Scam Info

This is my first post here and I was wondering if someone might direct me to a sticky or thread that contains general info on avoiding scams. I always have Steamguard activated and I'm wondering if there is any way I could still be scammed while only using the Steam trading window. I'm looking to buy my first Unusual and I'll be paying with bud/keys because I don't want to bother with Paypal. Any help would be appreciated.
