Description: Basically a guy comes on Pink taco offering to pay up to $200 for unusuals, he eventually trades me, offering to buy an unusual off me . That guy is jamesjess. He says he has a middleman with tons of rep. I agree to sell my stormy storm desert maurder for $150.This happened on Saturday April 07. Today on the APril 08, the atom impersonator adds me to discuss the transaction me and jamesjess had agreed to. Says to check out his rep as he has good amount, and offers to hold on to my unusual until jamesjess gets on, and sends me the money.

You didn't send him the unusual or anything did you? Also, did he actually send you money? From what I see, no transaction took place.

Of course no transaction took place, i wasn't foolish enough to fall for this obvious scam attempt. But either way i see both accounts have been marked, which is all i was looking for in the first place.

Final nail in the coffin just confirming that jamesjess recommended the fake atom .

Hopefully I'm allowed to post in this thread... It does say "more info needed."

I was on a trading server a few days ago when someone approached me about buying my Bill's hat for 30$. Now, knowing that Bill's usually go for about 15$ I figured this person was attempting to scam me.
I looked him (and the middleman he wanted to use - jamesjess49) up on SteamRep, and seeing they had none (and that their account weren't more than a week old at the time, got ready to report them.
Now, I looked everything up in game, and unfortunately (as sometimes happens to me) I essentially lost all video for TF2, and thus I couldn't use the in game browser I had everything open on.
The person who wanted to do the buying had airsoft12 in their name I believe (unfortunately I lost the information) but I added jamesjess49 to my list in order to better look up their account. They did indeed claim to be Atom-3000 and I can probably provide a screen shot (which I have on my desktop) tomorrow or the day after, assuming it's needed. I see that he's been marked as a scammer in the meantime though, right?
