Description:
Scammer + accomplice were advertising "Steam tickets" which are actually "Crowns", a unit of currency from Spiral Knights. They claimed that these Steam tickets could be used to buy items from the Mann Co. Store, get items faster, get stranges, etc. Some quotes of claims are "

you can buy hats/paints/keys with that Crowns​

They also claimed that 1 crown sold for 1 or 2 reclaimed metal elsewhere. In reality, Crowns are worth much lower amount although this amount can vary depending on the offer, around 6,000 crowns for 1 reclaimed based on some googling. They also cannot be redeemed for tf2 items.

Curious, I traded away 2 32, a 34, 2 37, 2 41, and 2 42 crates for approximately 20 crowns (initial offer was in fact 10 crowns, but I had him up the offer, which he did after about 5 seconds of haggling.). Of course, I was unable to use the crowns for anything, and they could not be redeemed for anything.

So clearly this guy is blatantly lying about what he's offering. Thankfully crates are basically worthless for me cause I don't get keys + I was given most of those, but he definitely misrepresented crowns and profited because of that. Lemme know if you need more info.

Just to be clear, the chats are actually the tf2 in-game chats. I just didn't save a copy when I exited the game, but thankfully darkly's servers have a record of everything that players enter in the in-game chats.

Thanks for the report, but the evidence isn't concrete enough to ban anyone. With screenshots of legit chatlogs, there is no way of knowing.

Actually, upon further review, these guys are hardcore scammers.
