I was on trade plaza earlier and I hear Derpy Hooves talking about how he got free buds. It raised my suspicion a bit but I forgot about it for a few minutes. Then he starts telling a story how he was able to sell a Steam Pipe to a guy by saying it was unusual due to the "gentle smoke" effect it had even though it was not an unusual. The guy offered buds for what he thought was an unusual and Derpy accepted the offer and scammed the guy out of his buds. Hearing this I decided to friend Derpy since I was acting friendly to him so I was able to have the conversation shown in the picture above and to get his Steam id. While writing this report he has messaged me again telling me that he sold the buds for keys. I hope that he is able to be brought to justice

Edit: I would like it to be made clear that in the screenshots I am not congratulating this thief on his work I was simply trying to gain his trust in order to receive information

No sorry he was on a mic when he was telling it so I had to have him retell it to me for evidence.

Unfortunately as he told you his story through mic there is little we can do as people can brag about something they got for cheap / free when they usually just paid standard pricing.
