One problem is that we try to discourage use of custom URLs, because scammers can and do change them quickly and repeatedly to cover their tracks. So...
no i just mean making it so that that page will redirect to http://steamrep.com/search?q=76561198284517488
steamcommunity.com/id/naleksuh --> steamrep.com/id/naleksuh
also backpack.tf works like that
backpack.tf also does it. speaking of which, when are backpack.tf bans gonna show up on steamrep?
this way is good cause i can load their profile but change "community" to "rep"
suggestion: make it so that going to steamrep.com/profiles/76561198284517488 or steamrep.com/id/Naleksuh will load the users steamrep profile
that's true, but i still think the statement that admins don't exist is misleading (and also just incorrect)
here's what i think would be best to tell people:
The only people who have administrative item access in Steam are valve employees.
You're implying that stating "that there are no Steam admins" somehow means there is not oversight of Steam as a whole.
well it kind of does imply...
so steam is in anarchy?
what about steam workshop content then?
no one can ban you there, since there are no steam admins
yeah kids, feel free to post whatever you want on steam forums. there won't be any admins to ban you :)
There are Valve Employees
ABSOLUTELY NO SUCH THING AS A STEAM ADMIN
so are you saying valve employees are just normal users?
that's true, but "NO SUCH THING AS A STEAM ADMIN" is kinda misleading
NO SUCH THING AS A STEAM ADMIN
Then who's this?
okay that actually makes sense. thanks for answer
Idea is to avoid false tags at all costs.
i mean when you create a website with a system of taking screenshots of stuff to ban people you basically...
The reports have such a high requirement of evidence to ensure 100% that if we do tag someone its done so without doubt.. we can't just fling tags...
Better pros and cons list ( can't edit posts for some reason )
* False bans are almost impossible
* 95% of (true) reports don't go...
* One appeal for life is dumb for a number of reasons which i can go into in more detail, i understand this is to not overload the admins but maybe...
Separate names with a comma.
