I knew that he was a scammer because I checked his steamrep and he had already been marked, plus his stats on his steam account do not match the real trunks. I still added him anyway to play around with him before I'd go and add another report to his profile on steam but he didn't respond. Around 10 minutes later, another account adds me called tenoxide. He said that he'd be willing to sell me buds and keys but would like me to wait a bit to get them. To me, his account is suspicious for a number of reasons. 1. His custom URL is EpicTrunks, implying that he may have been an imposter of trunk in the past, or may intend to be an imposter of trunk sometime in the future 2. I checked his steam account and TF2 isn't even installed. He doesn't have tf2 in his games listed. 3. I checked his inventory and it only had two unusuals, an unusual orbiting fire milkman and an unusual hearts handyman's handle. This to me was very suspicious considering that he doesn't have tf2 installed. Sadly these items are now gone and I didn't get the screenshots for them in time. 4. His account added me just 10 minutes after I accepted the friend's request of the scammer account. I would really like this to be looked into . I think that honestly these two accounts may be linked with the account here. http://steamrep.com/profiles/76561198045115702. However, I am not sure. Please have this investigated whenever you can. Thanks.
Not sure if this helps but this was the convo I had of the trunk impersonator in the beginning, although he never said anything back to me =/
Update: I just saw both of the same unusuals in the impersonator account. I think I made a mistake on the handyman's handle though. The handyman's handle had a ghosts effect. I can't see the item history on tf2items unfortunately but now this user feels even more suspicious. Will upload screenshots.
Nvm, I checked the item history of other sites such as backpack.tf and it says that the item has no history whatsoever towards tenoxide. I think I made a mistake and got the account backpacks switched up. Still though I would like to have the account tenoxide investigated, for chance of scamming buds/keys from other users and selling them to reputable people who have no clue they were scammed. Here are pictures of the unusuals anyways. Could be useful in the future.
I think if possible though, it would be nice to see the item histories of both these unusuals in tf2items anyways since it's the most accurate. Sadly I cant see the item histories of both these unusuals from the site because it takes a few days for new item histories to be updated for some reason.
