Hello,
i tried to join a server, its been ages till i played on public server, it seems i'm banned. I checked their boards and it looks like i was banned for being marked as a scammer on steamrep, because many people there who wanted to be unbanned and didnt know why they were banned in the first place seem to have this problem. I dont know why i got marked as a scammer, or even rep faker, dont know how to fix it, i barly ever buy or sell stuff thats why it never bothered me and i didnt try to fix it. i actually traded maybe 2-5 times in my steam life, once i got scammed myself and i reported that guy and got my stuff back from steam(maybe he reported me because he was buttheart) and once i joined a friend on a trade server (i had no hats back then and just wanted to see what a trade server looks like). i asked him if he had anything to sell, he wanted to sell his stuff to buy a bills if i remember correctly, and he had a hat, told me the price. i had no idea about prices and just trusted him. i gave him what he wanted and got my hat. it seems he sold it me for a really low price and i got marked as scammer on that server. tried to contact admins, i had no idea what went wrong and wanted to talk to an admin about it, no admin took his time to talk to me. i never really knew why i got marked, it was my first trade and i just assume it auto marked me because i bought it under the list price for that hat.

I Dont even know what fake rep means, and i have no idea how to fix it.

You left a rep on that users profile. As long as nothing else is found, should not be an issue to get it sorted.

yeah must be from the days where i wanted dota2 beta, and fell for the promise i would have a chance to get beta key if i leave rep on some profile. i didnt have any idea what i was doing and that it was wrong. like said i barely trade, thats why im not really an expert.

is there a way to change topic of my appeal. it seems i forgot to add SR scammer (Fake Rep). I hope an admin can see this and add it to my topic. i thought about about creating a new thread, didnt want to look like a spammer though.

just incase it wasnt clear. Im really sorry about my mistake, i barly trade and most of the times i trade only with my friends. i really wanted dota2 back then and had no idea that steamrep was more or less an official platform. i just did what the original scammer instruction were to be part of a raffle for a dota2 beta key, i thought he was a nice guy giving out dota2 beta keys. shotly after this i realized playdota is full of scammers and copypasta. i even tried to report some scammers there. tried it for few days, checking usernames, steamnames, steamfriends, alternative nicks and even messeges on their profile trying to identify alt accounts. then gave up reporting. they had to many accounts and kept creating new, there was no real intention to fight scammers on the board side.

I applied for an official beta key from valve and left the shady scammer board, got it few weeks later.

I had no idea what i was doing was wrong. as far as i remember i did not do it again, and im not planing in doing it again either. I still barly trade. from the mistakes i did and read about, I'm fully confident, that no one can trick me in doing something shady like this fake rep again. Please fix my Status. it does not affect my regular steam life, but still it bugs me that somewhere in the internet i'm marked as a scammer and im trying the best i can to clear my name.

its been about 5 months now, would be nice if someone can fix this. or not. cant really be bothered anymore with visiting this site every week for 5 months and nothing is happening.
