Hey guys, first post here. I just wanted to say thanks for all this and keeping me from getting scammed!

Now I am wondering if there is a way to report on known scammers trying to scam again? I have a guy permabanned on outpost twice for scamming and impersonating, trying to get me to do a paypal deal. I said no, but I want to do something about it to keep it from happening to others. Is there something I can do?

I have uploaded a shot of our short conversation. Thankfully I am still raw from the last time I got scammed(but got my stuff back) so I wouldn't have taken the offer anyway.

Should I report him to steam as a scammer, or is there nothing I can do but block him?

1. Any scam can be reported, even repeater scammers. This makes us aware of more cases when they appeal (and harder for them to negate them).
2. Any scammer can also be reported to Steam support, so they get aware, and with enough reports, they will ban them.
3. I'm moving the report to the scam report section.

in this case, as he's having valve probation, this would be a violence of his probation..... so you reporting 'm will be severe.

Ok, so I will report him. Would this be under User Misconduct, or Suspected Cheater? Also, should I link to this thread in the report, or just say he was trying to scam?

I mean to steam. I am going to "Report Violation," and when I do so, it asks what he did, giving 4 options, etc.

in that regards I meant Steam Support, not the steam "report violation" stuff, thats just statistics to them, nothing more.
