    Hello,

Firstly may i start by saying I believe in crime and punishment. But in this matter I don't think that the alleged "Fake Rep" fits the punishment of being labeled a full SOP Scammer and the all the bans / loss of rep that comes with it.

Secondly this tag involves another steam user (Murray_from_The_Naki, ID 76561198044034023). And the two are directly related. I ask if GLaDOS could please adjudicate both of these matters as it would be easier for verification. A copy of Murry's appeal is linked below.

I can say that the above statement is true. And the events that have been described happened. We were indeed buying keys at the time to do a 100 each unbox in an attempt to get a hire tier hat which could be sold off for buds to get the hats we wanted. I have spent the last day tacking down more accurate dates and will now attempted to add in some details that my further validate mine and Murry's (Gordon) appeal.

Prior to Jan 10th I had no rep and was buying keys at $2.50 which was taking its toll. I wanted to upgraded my Logo tyrant but also wanted to unbox an unusual just for bragging rights in game. After looking around for someone to trade with I finally found Will (ID 76561197961688349) and he sold me 20keys. He posted on my rep thread. At this time I told Murry that I had some rep and he asked me to get him 10keys.

I then got 10keys for Murray on Jan 14th from UG (ID 76561198001087546) along with buds. There was no real rush to get the keys to him as this is not your usual trade via the net and paypal. But I was speaking to him and told him that "I had the goods". Later we went out for lunch or dinner i can quite remember but he did suggest that he would pay for my food as payment for the keys. That work for me so I accepted. When we got back we posted on each others rep and headed out for the night. We then came up with the idea to get 100 keys each and undox as this would be a better bet.

The above purchases can be seen in my trade history and reps posted by Will and UG can be found on my old REP thread (link below). Note that all dates fit the timeline. The dates and time in my trade history are in front due the fact we are in New Zealand so we are ahead of you.

Murrays Rep's - Note the date that I posted on his.

I feel that it is prudent to point out that nowhere In both of our rep posts did we say that we used paypal or that this was an electronic transaction. Also at the time I was buying buds and bill's and wanted the keys in my BP encase a good deal came up so i did not push the matter to give Murry the key's. Not giving him the keys is an oversight on my behalf and can see how this could be interpreted from some people perspective as being misleading. And for this reason I will take a caution tag on my steamRep and if possible in time have it cleared.

Over the next few days we continued to buy keys from well know traders and Admins from well know severs. Murry got a large number of crates for me 40plus as i did not have time to hunt round for various crate number as I did not want to get stuck with a large number on one type of strange. Check on TF2item BP history around 16/17 Jan to confirm this.

We finally accrued all 200 keys/crates on the 17 Jan (NZ date) which was only three days after I got the keys for Murry. With relaxed attitude and work you can see how the actual transfer never took place. We then headed to a sever to unbox the 200 crates. The sever was TF2-trader.com sever 1of2 (IP 208.86.254.295.27015). We took turns unboxing 20 each. We unbox the following. Check the date of the creation. Murry unbox the first 3 and mine was the last.

    Magistrates Mullet with Circling Hearts

    Searing Bonk Boy

I think this is pretty good proof of what our intentions were and can admit to a small oversight on my behalf. If I had want to post fake rep to mislead people in the hope to take advantage or scam cash out of them I would take the tag "Scammer" gladly. But as it stands today I have done no such thing, I have purchased Buds, Bill, Keys and two unusual hats all with no problems at all. Check the rest of my rep thread and confirm with any of the parties involved. My BP is worth more than $700USD as it stands to date and as I intend to continue to be a part of the trade community this would hinder me greatly.

I look forward to hearing from you and if there is any more evidence that you wish to have please feel free to ask.

    Thanks Betty (Preston)

They are 2 parts to this, First being account ownership, and I'm satisfied they belong to different people.
Then the rep comment itself, a different matter. And their is no way to prove any transaction took place and the circumstances of the transaction is questionable at best, even by your version of the story. So ill agree to downgrade the tags to cautions.
