About this. I dod not talk to him in the steam window, we just did trade on steam.

I got interested in trade. We agreed to trade my riki set for his golden greevil + frostivus key. He added me to friends in steam. I accepted and he automatically invited me to trade. We dod not speak in chat or trade window since we had dealt already . I put 6 parts of riki set and he put (it seemed like he did) golden greevil and a key. I accepted trade and all i got from it was key. No golden greevil which was maybe 85% of the trade value.

Click on your profile, then click on inventory, then at the top right of the inventory page there should be a button that says "show inventory history", click on that and take a screen shot of it. Thanks

Read up on steamrep on how to be a safer trader. There are plenty of guides around that will teach you some useful things . Also when trading go slowly in the trade window. Take your time, review what was posted up and triple check EVERYTHING.

Well actually im not so new to trading, you can see +rep posts on my profile because i traded often. Just new to this investigation

And what actually should i do now? And what you do? What can I expect from this investigation, return of items, scammer banned or what?
I really appreciate your help.

Unfournaty valve does not return scammed item D: Do report him to valve though, there is a chance he will get a trade ban because of it. For the investigation, an Admin will have to review your case and such, me and Clive are just here to lend a hand so that the report process will go a bit quicker for the admins and mods ;D

So no chance I get any kind of refund or anything? Well, thats a shame for Valve, what about people who payed RL money for items and lost all it because of scammer?

Im sorry D: Valve only returns items when an account is hijacked. Hopefully this person will be trade banned though so others wont have to go through what you had to.

I don't know but it would be even worse for me if i gave 8 euros for the set. I really can't see why they wouldn't return items if you have proof that it was a scammer. It's just my idiotic luck....

I'm assuming you did not screenshot the trade window? That would be necessary here. For all we know, the trade agreement could have been altered in steam chat.
