As I saw this fair as I though my moonman's backpack was worth 1.66, his stickybomb launcher was 0.33, and his panama was 1 refined. 1.66=1 + 0.33 + 0.33. So I traded him. I later figured out that the Professor's panama was dirty and therefore only worth 0.33, so I tried trading him back, to see if I could buy it back, maybe not for the same price, but at least around the same. When I asked, he told me he would sell it at the old spreadsheet price of 2.66. Unfortunately I didn't get the chance to take a screenshot of the second trade chat as he quickly closed it.
First - you should always keep the talking to the regular Steam chat for that exact reason. Second - this isn't exactly a scam unless you can prove that he specifically stated that the Panama was clean.
Not really a scam, Its called sharking. Scamming means you get nothing, sharking means you get cheated. Unfortunately, SR does not handle cases like these. I think AF2 and other communities deal with this thing. Thanks
This wouldn't even be sharking. Sharking needs to be paying at very least 20% or less of the value of the item which this clearly wouldn't be. There's no scam here so marking it as rejected. Thanks for the report.
