I've had this guy on my friends list for a while, I added him long ago from team fortress 2 I bet, I don't remember why and have not talked to or interacted with him since, but today out of the blue he contacts me with a vague request to borrow money. His probing questions are deliberately vague, and so I looked at his account, he's emptied his tf2 inventory entirely, so he's got nothing left to lose if he loses this account. I also noticed he had a -rep, so I contacted the guy, who tells me a story about how this guy told him another story about needing money and so traded on the promise of paying him back later, but he welched on the deal, claiming his "trade bot" was closed. I won't be lending him anything so I won't be able to test his honesty, but its obvious he's already screwed one person over who failed to report. There maybe more out there so i'll leave this here as a preemptive report on him, so any further victims will have a search result.


Also note he's been changing his name continuously this month, for the longest time he was "dr zoidberg" on my friends list. Now he's changing names, which can be scammer behavior as well.

Doing more digging into this guys history, its very very strange
You can look through his tf2outpost trade history to see him trading unusuals with a rather empty backapck

Somehow this paypal begger ended up with a company man, which was 2 buds at the time. But looking at the trade, the guy he got it from claimed he was scammed in the comment.

didn't quite recognize him at first, but he added me again, and he's still up to his old ways. I had his nickname as dr zoidberg, I only added the scammer bit after, but it was enough to give me a bad feeling because I don't usually remove people with nicknames.
Anyways he tried to pass off a ubersaw kill streak kit as being worth 2 keys when its 40 cents on the market. That parts no longer in the chat buffer sadly but its really the only reason i'd respond like that. I removed and closed the thing before I remembered exactly who he was. Tried re adding him to get the full chat screenshot, didn't work.

But in any case, he's still up to no good
