I originally got this tag due to my account having an alt with a UTC scammer tag. (I'll get to the that in a second) I've talked to the UTC, and my appeal was accept, and it was suggested I follow up here. Here's the aforementioned thread.

And here's the information regarding my alt. It was an account that I used to let a handful of friends borrow. One of them took said account, and used it to run on a spycrab. Six months later, I was discussing something with Atom, reporting a scammer I believe, and Atom mentioned I had a scammer on my friend's list. I looked at it, and realized that is was my alt. I brought it back up with Atom, and asked him if he could help me find who was scammed so I could attempt to give him what he wasn't given. Atom said that most likely wouldn't be possible, and that I would have to have a ban in the works for my main account. He said I could appeal it though, so I didn't think much of it. Later on, I made this appeal to the UTC, and it was denied. A large discussion continued for some time, and the final consensus was to deny the appeal. I've brought it up again recently, and now with approval from the UTC, I hope that SteamRep may be able to remove their ban as well.

If there's anything anyone needs to ask me, or any information that I need to follow up on, please don't hesitate to let me know.

I will be taking tis appeal on as I am very familiar with this case. I know your entire story and side, and also the evidence in hand. I will be talking with UTC admins as well first. Do you have any new evidence you can post here that may prove that someone else was using your scamming account to offer here?
    Thank you

Unfortunately not. As I mentioned way back when, I no longer speak to the person who I assume did this. As before, all I really have is the argument that I wouldn't have brought attention to the matter if I were the person who committed the act.

    Jellydude,
Since there is not any new information aside from a vouch regarding this case, and an account that we all know scammed in the past, it will have to remain tagged for now based on our past history with others for this same offense and what our rules currently dictate. I cannot make exceptions or take any hearsay/character witnesses. Your account was SR tagged from before and the tag will remain for now. That being said, there has been some discussion internally within SR about setting time frames on certain offenses, and it could be possible your offense and time frame could be on the receiving end of leniency should the rules happen to be changed at a later date. Your appeal is denied for now based on the system in place, however if the rules are changed (and only then) I would encourage you to re-appeal at that time if it looks like your case is pertinent and falls under new changes - whatever they are and if that happens. I would suggest you periodically check back to see if it has happened. That is the best I can offer you at this time sir and very best of luck to you.
