I was marked as a scammer, and was banned from trading, FOR 10 YEARS.


I woke up one morning, and I had an alert from valve, confused, I checked what it was...



I was very upset and confused, I read over the Steam Trading Policy, and I hadn't violated anything.

So I talked to my friends and they directed me to steam support and the ticket thing, so I sent one in asking why I was banned and asked what happened and that I was confused and didn't understand what was going on, and sent links of my friends freaking out and wondering why I was banned aswell.



Valve responded with :

10 years ? really ? ...

Okay, so.. I looked through my backpack, and nothing seemed to be missing.. and my trade history.. nothing there either, here it is.


I got the message on the 10th, so here are some days before, I don't think this looks fishy...









Still emailing with valve, I asked if there was anything they could give me about the ban. Since I have no reason to believe I did anything wrong whatsoever.. they replied with this:

Okay so now I don't even know what happened.. and they can't tell me anything.

Me and my friend were talking, and it could be one reason that I'm banned. But my cousin has been marked as a scammer multiple times, and on his multiple accounts.
He has made 3 as far as I know.

I am in no way associated with these accounts, but we have gone to eachothers houses and signed in on our own accounts and stuff.. and I'm thinking that valve might believe we're the same person, having like 5 steam accounts. But this is not me...
...this is my moron cousin.


I should be unbanned, and this is very unfair to me.

It seems like I have no reason to believe I was banned legitimately. Nothing in my inventory was removed.. and nothing looks fishy there. I honestly did nothing, I just woke up one morning and I was banned...
I don't know how I'll feel about trading again when I'm 26.
