Honestly I didn't even know I was portrayed as a scammer until today when I went to trade. I was hacked around 4-5 months ago when I stopped using steam for school reasons. The next time I got on, which would have been around a month after I was hacked I guess, I just logged on normally and noticed I had a whole bunch a new tf2 items and a new name. I immediately changed my password and thought nothing of it since I didn't really play tf2 at that time. Now that I'm getting back into tf2 I would like to clear my name. I can't really provide much evidence besides the first hand accounts of my friends when I was away from steam.

Did you make a steam support ticket for it?

It has been over 2 years now. I was planning on making another appeal, but I thought that would be against the rules. I attempted to just live with the fact that I was banned on SteamRep, but I thought I would try to appeal once more in hopes it would be different. The same story applies, but I can say for sure that my account is no longer used as a alt account for any scams. From the above question, I never had to make a ticket as my password was never changed. On the day I recovered my account I simply logged in like normal, and continued my business.

If you are claiming hijack, you need to show you were actually hijacked. That is what the other admin was getting at.

How am I supposed to show proof of hijacking after almost 3 years, and when nothing was taken from myself? Any recommedations...

Well hijacking means you had to regain your account and in doing so you contacted Valve with a support ticket and so on... you need to show those. You need to the effort here to prove this happened.

If you read my previous post, I didn't have to contact steam support as they didn't change my password or do anything to my account except change my name.

This is up to you to prove not the other way around. You claim hijack then you need to show it and show that you weren't the one in control of your account.

All I have as proof during the time would be the multiple people that I play with regularly that can vouch for the fact that I was not using my account.

    Hello @JJ Hosting,

    Read this topic: http://forums.steamrep.com/threads/appeal-tips.66354/
And please pay special note to the following point(s):
    #1: Be honest
    #2: Be Straightforward.

    You said:
You posted that August 13, 2013, 4-5 months before that would be March-April 2013. Your ban is from December 15th 2012, the related link is:
    http://forums.steamrep.com/threads/76561198007055781-communist-waffle.16670/

Another "hole" in your story is Steam Guard. Back around the end of 2012 Steam guard was required to trade. This means emails, Steam activating on a computer, etc. Once they would have gotten hold of your account, you would have been unable to regain it without steam support doing that for you. Yet you claim you where hijacked in march/april 2013.

The third "hole" in your story is that during the marking your nickname was at least the same from December 13th 2012 to February 1st 2013. Namely "ClickDatCoke". Well, as far as I can see. You may have had that nickname longer: 2,5 month earlier, and some 5 days later, but no visits on your profile on SR in those time frames make that not provable. After that you had throughout till far after you made the appeal the nickname "JJ Hosting" in 2 different forms:
    - http://files.steamrep.com/1/2016/01/2016-01-15_03-53-42.png
    - http://files.steamrep.com/1/2016/01/2016-01-15_03-58-32.png

This does not match your story. Hence I asked if you made a steam support ticket or not, to get a correct timeline for your claim. This is problematic for your appeal. Care to explain all that?

Ok lets be straight forward then and try to re-build the events based on emails sent from steam so that I may be as accurate as possible without accidentally making false statements based on memory . I'll answer each point individually.

    First point:
This is the first time my ban was actually cleared displayed. So from my understanding, I was banned as my account was being used to scam at least one individual mentioned in that post. As for the date, it was a rough estimate and I apologize, but my name change to JJ Hosting Admin was the day I officially had control of my account again and the name I had prior to leaving was You Knew that Last Guy From Last Nig. You can see that the last time I used that name was Oct 4, 2012 almost 3 months prior to my account being hacked and being banned.

    Second point:
I first recognized that I had been hacked when my friends on TeamSpeak informed me that I had been getting on steam frequently, even though I was away. As such I changed my password as soon as I heard, but was still unable to get on as I was busy with school. Here is a picture of the password change request on Jan. 31 2013 (http://puu.sh/mwep1/9c1df8f1da.png). I had the chance to quickly login where I launched steam got in after using steam guard. Here is a picture I received on Feb. 2, 2013 from steamguard to access my account on my computer (http://puu.sh/mwdYE/f7542fb06e.png). Since I was very busy I logged off again for the next few days. I came back on Feb. 6 2013 after updating my computer and finally changed my steam name. You can see the email from steamguard accessing my account after changing computers. (http://puu.sh/mwdeY/9d5765db17.png). I also made purchases for the first time since the accounts name had changed (http://puu.sh/mweDP/2b1783a17e.png). Here is also a picture of all emails received during the time of the hijacking, showing that I did not get any odd steam access emails (http://puu.sh/mweHq/09f8910e27.png) This was from the email I used prior to changing it to a new one on my steam account.

    Third Point
The JJ Hosting name is a joke with friends after I returned to playing TF2 for the Man vs. Machine Update. I made variations on the name multiple times to keep the joke going. There is a story behind the name as well but I find that irrelevant unless you want to know. My names frequently changed since then and prior to the hijack, as I found it entertaining. It is more surprising that my name stayed the same for so long.

If there is something I am missing, Ill try to provide.

After a review, you have not submitted a support ticket as requested, plenty of time has passed. Unfortunately you were unable to back up your claim. Appeal denied.
