Added me, said he couldn't trade due to new password but could gift. Wanted a I trade, he trade, I trade pattern, I said sure because of why not, he just took the first item and ran. I didn't get the chat because I derped and closed it, but a friend got him to admit to scamming.

How do I find my inventory history?
Edit: Found it, but I can't see this specific transaction because I sent it as a gift... I was pretty stupid

wished i had thought to search for him, just got scammed the same way. reported via steam but i doubt anything will come of it. lost my Left 4 Dead GOTY cause of it too.

You can find your gifting history by going into your inventory and in the upper right there should be a "More" tab, wich will scroll down and have all history links.

Press Gifting History, find the gift and screenshot it.

And if you still can't find it with Nero's description...
