Hello, i would like to report an paypal scam attempt, it's the 4th time since i have my hat (an Scorching Modest). I don't deal with paypal, but i still have some invites from scammer...

So he added me to buy my hat with paypal money. I said i was interested just for the proof. My hat worth approximately 650$ but he offered to me 1050$, so an huge overpay, very suspicious. The account of the scammer is recent, and private. The 4th time i receve an similar proposition, so i decided to report him.

He just offered to buy something dude, he didn't even complete the deal. You were never actually scammed and he did not actually try to scam you out. He was asking if you had an mm aswell.

Yes, i know that. But high value paypal transaction, with an new steam account, and private profile, sorry it's very suspicious.

Suspicious, but he never did anything wrong. Tbh, if you are suspicious, just say no and move on. He did nothing wrong.


Its no reason to possibly ruin his tf2 trading forever.

He now changed his alias and avatar. And ask for a middleman doesn't mean he will not scam, he can still chargeback the money.

Unfortunately, nothing has happened here. We can't mark him for scamming, but we can keep this on record for future evidence in our archive. Thanks for the report!
