Hello. A while ago, around March 9, 2013, a friend notified me that I was tagged as a SR Scammer.

    Beshio Mar 9, 2013 @ 2:07am
Hey betch, http://steamrep.com/profiles/76561198021955027 You tagged on Steamrep cause you impersonated a valve-employee foo. You stewpid gmod whore.

Setting aside his rather crass writing, you can view my profile's comments section and find the said comment yourself. It is located in the third page of my comments section at the time of posting.

I was accused of Impersonating a Steam Employee.

The name that got me the tag was "Valve GmbH. Steam Support"

It struck me as very funny since Valve isn't German.

This is evidenced in my reply, which read:

Lol. I don't really trade anyhow, so...

Also pretty sure Valve isn't in Germany...

Again, you can go find the comment in the comments section of my profile.

If you want proof of my bearing of that name, you can view my history on the Steam Rep page. Unfortunately, if you try to view my history, it reads, "Sorry, history view is temporarily disabled."

I expect that would put a dent in appeal as my word is already very untrustworthy in your eyes and I have no solid backing behind me. Any shred of credibility I had, if any, is now lost.

When I held that name, I did not conduct much if any trade through TF2 or Steam.

Even when I had traded, it was generally very light trades, like, selling a Sydney Sleeper for a scrap which would be instantly used in another one of my vain attempts to craft a Rocket Jumper (I actually succeeded a while ago, so whoo) or Sharp Dresser. Probably the heaviest trading I had ever done in my time in TF2 was trading two reclaimed metals for a Festive Sniper (Around the Christmas where they had Festive weapons come from festive crates. I forgot which year since it has been too long). However, even these were done long before I bore that name. It really perplexes me how I was not trading and still managed to snag a tag, with the SR system being manual from what I've heard.

I expect one may ask why I waited so long to appeal this. My answer is that I didn't really care, as I barely traded. Then, one may ask why I chose to appeal this at all, if I do not trade. I have been wanting to swap my gift copy of Men of War: Vietnam for XCOM: Enemy Unknown and headed to the SteamGameSwap subreddit where I was promptly banned because I was marked a scammer by SteamRep.

One may ask why I had even chose to pick such a stupid name. It was because one day, a friend of mine (Zepolete is his name), told me that the words 'Steam', 'Valve', and 'Support' were blocked and censored in Steam names. Without another thought, we rushed out to try various names like 'Support Rifleman', 'Steam Powered Train', 'Steam Valved Trains', 'Valve Steam Support' and the like just to see it censored into '******* Rifleman' and whatnot. Call us immature, but we were pretty bored (which is admittedly ironic since we were doing it on Steam which is a game DRM thing and we had a bunch of games to play on demand). Then, he brought out the infamous null character thing or whatever it was called. It looked like a box. You could paste it into the middle of 'Steam' and it would turn up uncensored. Without another thought, we set off to put it in our names for fun. After a bit, it got boring so he removed it, but I left it on for quite a while. About an entire week if I remember right. Scold me all you want for this lapse of judgement, but you cannot deny that my intents were innocent.

    So here I am now.

I may have left out some details that I may have wanted to mention, so I welcome any questions as I have nothing to hide because I am innocent.

As a summary, I am not a scammer and would like to have the tag removed.

Thank you for taking your time to read this, admin or not, please consider my position.

Eh, a year and four months. It's still been a bit to wait out. It's not as bad as some of the others at least I guess.

Due to the time this appeal has been pending w/o admin(s) addressing and other mitigating circumstances, tag will be dropped.
Please note, further transgressions may result in you being retagged.
