The scammer said that they would pay me with Paypal and that I should send the key first. Stupidly, I agreed, and then he immediately logged off, activated the key, and unadded me as a friend. Now I not only have no way to bring the log back up, but I've also lost the game and don't know if anything can be done thanks to the chat being gone and he no longer being my friend. Still the chat went like this.

I do have Proof of Purchase, as well as the used code. The game in question was Metro: Last Light.

I am also wondering if Steam might be able to do something about this regardless of whether it can be investigated by Steamrep or not.
