This happened before i knew about trading values or stranges/vintages/unusuals. (i didn't even know about salvaged crates) I found a salvaged 30# crate and it said there were some stuff i wanted (mostly kritzkrieg), i did not care about that all the weapons in the crate were strange weapons. When i opened the crate i got a strange gunslinger (thats worth about 1/1.5 earbuds currently) and i was really dissapointed because i already had a gunslinger (not a strange one tho) and i just kept it in the bag until one time i joined a random server and someone invited me to a trade (the SCAMMER) and i thought WOW why is he giving me so many weapons for this thing? And i was happy with the weapons i had but now (around a year later) i started trading for real (hats, scrap, and misc items) and i started using things like TF2 price spreadsheet and backpack.tf and i realized that people are selling salvaged crates for a good number of keys and i thought i'd look up the price of the stuff in it and when i saw the price of the strange gunslinger i realized that i had been scammed.

Actually that's a different gunslinger, but I'm sure he sold the other one for similar.
