User added me randomly and requested to buy my backpack. I asked for an game that I knew was over value for my bag to see how much he was willing to offer on it. He then posted himself as a "steamrep officer" and asked me to trade him my items in exchange for a code that would give me an extra 15% off everything on steam. When I asked for proof he showed me some random hats listed in the trade chat above. He said he got the hats for free often due to his association with steamrep. I linked him his marked steamrep profile and asked him why it said he was a scammer. He told me it was reddit admin abuse. I showed him reports similar to the scam he was trying to pull on me and asked him to explain. He told me I was reported and posted "= Scammer" on my steam profile. I then asked im again if he wanted to just trade for games, and he then removed me.

If you look in the processing reports subforum, you'll see that there are around 1200 scam reports that need to be reviewed and only around 9 or 10 people to look through them. You also need to keep in mind that the people on the SteamRep staff are just that: people. They have their own lives too. It's also the holiday season... you know that holiday called Christmas?
Be patient.
