Description (I had Bralevan, the victim type this out himself):
I was on a trade server looking to sell my Teddy Roosevelt, Strange Rocket Launcher, and Familar Fez. Suddenly I got a trade by someone of the name JANE requesting to pay $15 for it all via Paypal. We talked and talked and the person tried to get me to trade before he sent the money. I checked his profile and saw that he had a negative comment from someone else saying "You tried to scam me! etc, etc" but it was later deleted. I ignored the negative review because of the other "+rep"s on his profile. Then it finally came to me sending my items to him before he paid me. JANE said he sent the money. I checked my paypal. There was nothing. He claimed "oh I made a typo I'm sorry!" but this just got more and more suspicious. I knew at this point I made a stupid mistake and this kid was most likely just stalling me or trying to milk more out of me. Later he brought up "I can pay you $45 total, I'll spell your name right this time." And in the end result, after trying to get him to get his "wasted $15 back" (from the wrong email he sent it to) he just tried to get me to trade my festive weapons up for $45. I said, "No, I need the other $15 first". And that's when it all came a lot clearer. He suddenly was "offline" out of no where and his friends decreased from "30" to "29". I was scammed. A lesson to not be kind to miscellaneous people on the internet.
