After I bought alecdachs's (hereafter referred to as the Victim) Blizzardy Storm Hazmat Headcase for a Stormy Storm Dr's Dapper Topper, an Orbiting Planets Master's Yellow Belt and very tiny sweets, I was added by a player named (at the time) "love's to splooge" (hereafter referred to as the Scammer). He told me that he had made an arrangement with the victim to sell the Headcase for 11 buds, and that, as a small fee, he'd keep a bud out of the deal and the owner of the Headcase would get 10, basically acting as a broker. I had the feeling at the time he was attempting to scam, but I didn't think anything of it at the time. After I turned him down, he insisted that I at least give him something to give to his "friend" (the victim), seeing as I had gotten a good deal on the Hazmat. After he kept this up for a while, I eventually agreed, on the condition that he would NOT act as a middleman and that I'd trade the previous owner directly. He then said that he didn't remember his name, and then went AFK. I removed him soon after. After a few days, I was told by my friend Gangstabeaner that I was under suspicion of sharking the Headcase that I had bought, and that the victim had very little in his backpack. I checked and, sure enough, the unusuals I had traded him were gone, but he had a few keys and other small items in their place. All of the items had came from the Scammer. I then checked the Scammer's Outpost account and he had the Dapper up for trade for a VERY low price ( http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/3240844 ), and that he had owned the yellow belt temporarily. (If you're curious about the keys and the buds in his bp, very few of the keys, I count a maximum of ~13, and none of the buds entered the victim's bp. You're more than welcome to check them for yourself.)

I hope this is plenty to get a conviction. I'll be happy to answer questions posed in this thread as needed, including about the trade I made with the victim. I also noticed that his profile has someone who has reported him for a DIFFERENT scam entirely. I hope something is done about this.

Could you get the victim to leave his part of the story (Screenshot of the chat + a seperate log of the conversation but he can allways post here if he wants) and i will say that you have done a very good job of investigating the current whereabouts of the hats in question, this saves the admins a bunch of time.
