Okay, so what happened is, I joined a mann up game and this guy tries to "sell a glitch" where you can get "any upgrade on your weapon" etc. He says, you give me the items, I give you or tell you the glitch, something like that, I seriously ask to put at least a caution tag on this guy

Eh, yeah, i try to sell it, realy sory for this one, it was time ago. After this i report this bug to Valve and they repair it. I realy don't want to scam anyone. And this is the topis from teamfortress.com : http://www.teamfortress.com/post.php?id=12196

This is really throwback to the past, as it was 6 years ago. I was young and stupid, and I couldn't explain myself well (as my English wasn't so good)

Even the links to the photos don't work now, but I'll say that it's true that I said roughly what was in the transcript (if my memory serves me correct)

Anyway, here is what really happened:
- I saw a guy (not affiliated with reporter or me, and I'm not sure of his username now since it's been so long) using 'the glitch' on MvM map to get crits on kill with minigun, overpowering whole match.
['The glitch' allowed you to buy any upgrades on any weapon, even on authorized Valve servers]
- I asked him how he was doing it and he told me he had a secret glitch. I asked him to have it, he said he could sell it to me.
- I (being not really smart 6 years ago) agreed, and traded for I think 1 (after looking back at trades it might have been 2) key(s).
- After receiving the 'secret glitch' (link to forum saying what to do) I panicked and wanted my items back.
- He said he can't do that, since I know it right now. But suggested I sell it to someone like he did to me.
- Stupid 6 year ago me agreed, and started to advertise in broken English about selling 'a glitch'.
- I didn't really got any chance to do so, since after first time I heard about me being a scammer I was scared.

TL DR I got scammed (by not affiliated here guy and I really couldn't care less about him now), then tried to win my precious 1 (2) key(s) back, only to be scared and stopping altogether.


I have attached trade history for the time it might have happened (I'm not sure the date now)
As you can see, I haven't even traded with the reporter, and there aren't any suspicious trades (apart from one in which my stupid 6 year ago me gambled away half of his unusual <_< )

So, no harm done to anyone and no real bad intentions (I would have really told the buyer how to perform 'the glitch', or rather just send him link to a site I was provided with).

If anything else is required, I'll happily provide it if I can.
(I look at my old self and cringe so hard every time I check this, let it be over)

As far as I remember this conversation happened in the game's chat, not on the steam chat.

As far as I remember, I haven't even added the reporter (or anyone for this) as a friend on steam. (I only added him later, after I found out he reported me here, to talk with him about it. I think he just ignored me, but I don't remember exactly what happened with that)

I (the 6 year older me) haven't thought anyone would consider this as a scam. I really just wanted to exchange items for information, like the guy before did with me. That's why I was scared after someone said I'm scamming and stopped posting this altogether. (I know this might be so stupid it hurts.)

After seeing how foolish I am (and that it is in fact a game breaking bug), I immediately reported it to Valve. Which then gave out the fix mentioned in the tf2 blog, that my 6 year older me mentioned in the broken English post
