Description: This story contains a shocking twist that's only just been discovered. In short: This scammer who impersonated Honeydew may actually be the real Honeydew on an alt account, scamming them on this alt so his real account and his real self won't face any repercussions. Here's the proof of the original scam, with the surprising, but logical explanation about the real Honeydew being the same person as the "fake" Honeydew, at the end, under "Edit4"

Constantly begging for donations nonstop, forcing it on someone again and again and *again,* guaranteeing them they'll play your map one moment, but the next, deciding they will ONLY if you give them donations. Either this really was Honeydew of the Yogscast and he's a [rude word] who literally only chooses people who donates and thinks he's a God who's doing people a favour by "allowing them the chance" to give him their hard-earned money, or, hopefully the case is, this was a scammer, not the real Honeydew. Either way: DO NOT TRUST THIS PERSON. He's also an admin of this group: http://steamcommunity.com/groups/yogscast Link to his profile: http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198040875759 It's no wonder this scammer has his profile set to private. And it's no wonder he lied about me adding him, too, to bait me into that conversation about donating to him. Like I said: I would *NEVER* add someone with a private profile like his. Not in a million years.

Edit: Trying to message him a few more times while he's still on my friends list.
3:52 PM - Temporarily Rin: Are you going to respond, or are you going to miss out on these donations from me?
3:53 PM - Temporarily Rin: It's weird how quiet you've suddenly gone.
3:53 PM - Temporarily Rin: Your status has been "Online" this whole time, so you're clearly still there, choosing not to reply. What seems to be the problem?

Naturally, this scammer still hasn't replied. And I'm seriously thinking that the "Xephos" of that same Yogscast Steam group may also be an impersonator who's out for items or real cash donations, just like this one.

Edit2: Luckily, this seems not to be the real Honeydew, but a scammer impersonating him. The real Honeydew's Steam profile has one less "o" in the URL than this scammer's does; I was wondering why he would misspell his own name like that. I'm glad to know that the real Honeydew is not as pushy and rude as this scammer/impersonator was.

Edit3: Looks like I'm not the only one who's had a run-in with this impersonator! Taken from the YOGS group chat:

    4:14 PM - Spoccifi: sincerly
    4:14 PM - Spoccifi: hello
4:14 PM - Temporarily Rin: Watch out, the admin who's impersonating Honeydew in this group is a scammer who just wants your TF2 items or real life cash "donations" under false pretenses.
4:14 PM - Temporarily Rin: Heya.
    4:15 PM - Spoccifi: see
4:15 PM - Spoccifi: I said exact thing
4:15 PM - Spoccifi: He scammed me as well
    4:15 PM - gonzalez_m27: done

    Edit4: ...

"... Why would the REAL Honeydew only just now be invited to the group by Xephos and be promoted to admin, YEARS after it's existed, and minutes after this Honeydew scammer business was brought to light?
I didn't think that ^ was too suspicious at first, but get this: the scammer from before is no longer an admin on here, and there's no mention of him being de-adminned in the group history. Furthermore, he - the scammer - is still a part of the group, after being silently de-adminned.
The most logical - and disturbing - explanation seems to be that "honeydewgooon" with three "o"s is an alt account of the real Honeydew's, which he uses to scam people without the risk of retaliation against his real account.
God, I hope I'm wrong about this, but unless someone can come up with a more logical way of explaining these multiple weird incidents..." Posted on the YOGS Steam group, in relation to what can be seen on the group's main page + group history.

This just got a bit scary. If I'm kicked from that group and banned from this forum [The official Yogscast forum] for bringing this worrisome information to light, please fight the good fight in my absence. Never let scammers prevail!

3:11 PM - Temporarily Rin: 3:03 PM - Temporarily Rin: Hello there! What was the friend request for?
3:11 PM - Honeydew: you added me aand i decline by accident so i decided to readd you
3:11 PM - Temporarily Rin: Nnnnno, I would never add someone with a profile like yours.
3:11 PM - Temporarily Rin: Why did you really add me.
3:11 PM - Honeydew: what do you mean
3:11 PM - Temporarily Rin: Plus I haven't added anyone in over a year.
    3:11 PM - Honeydew: Weird
3:11 PM - Honeydew: then i guess i added you
3:12 PM - Temporarily Rin: Alright, no problem, it was just a mixup then; goodbye
    3:12 PM - Honeydew: wait
3:12 PM - Temporarily Rin: Nah
3:12 PM - Honeydew: You don't know me?
    Honeydew is now Offline.
    Honeydew is now Online.
3:19 PM - Temporarily Rin: Sorry about that Honeydew, I'm just overly paranoid whenever someone randomly adds me out of the blue. Sent you another friend request so you can finish saying whatever you wanted to.
3:19 PM - Temporarily Rin: I hope you'll forgive me.
3:19 PM - Honeydew: Its ok it happens
3:19 PM - Temporarily Rin: Had a lot of incidents with scammers in the past before, you know how it is
3:19 PM - Temporarily Rin: Thank you
3:20 PM - Honeydew: So how are you?
3:20 PM - Temporarily Rin: I can't remember what I added you for, or even sending you a friend request on Steam before, but if I did and forgot about it -
3:20 PM - Temporarily Rin: heh, I'm doing very well, thank you :> and yourself?
    3:20 PM - Honeydew: Great
3:20 PM - Temporarily Rin: Playing Minecraft at the moment on a fun TFC (TerraFirmaCraft) server
    3:21 PM - Temporarily Rin: Whoo~
3:21 PM - Honeydew: I was just wondering do you want to be in a video with Lewis and I?
3:21 PM - Temporarily Rin: Oh, sure; that's extremely generous of you to offer
3:21 PM - Temporarily Rin: Even if it's the lowest kind of backup role with no lines whatsoever, it would be an honour
3:21 PM - Temporarily Rin: Thank you
3:22 PM - Temporarily Rin: If I added you in the past, it was probably to see if you'd like to play this one Minecraft map I've worked hard on for close to 300 hours now; I think it's around 275-280 hours worth of progress at this point
3:23 PM - Honeydew: I would love to.
3:23 PM - Honeydew: Wait do you think you can donate to our upcoming game Yogventures
    3:23 PM - Temporarily Rin: Sorry, I haven't got a job
3:23 PM - Honeydew: You can donate tf2 items and i can go sell them and get donation money
3:24 PM - Honeydew: If thats ok with you.
3:24 PM - Temporarily Rin: To be honest, my paranoia is coming back up again; asking someone if they'd like to donate to a complete stranger over the internet is kind of fishy =P
3:24 PM - Temporarily Rin: Especially within the first five minutes of talking to them
3:24 PM - Honeydew: I just want you to get featured in a video of ours
3:25 PM - Temporarily Rin: That's very kind of you, but that's the same thing a scammer would say
3:25 PM - Temporarily Rin: So, let's put the donation business aside since I've already respectfully declined. 'v' I'll link you to that map now
3:25 PM - Honeydew: ok whatever if you don't want to get featured in it ill find someone else.
3:26 PM - Temporarily Rin: Like I said: I don't have a job, so that isn't an option for me.
3:26 PM - Honeydew: Like I said you can donate items.
3:26 PM - Honeydew: Lewis and I are going to feature your map
3:26 PM - Honeydew: on a video we will also let you on it
3:26 PM - Temporarily Rin: Okay. One sec, getting the link for it
3:26 PM - Temporarily Rin: Thank you; that's very kind of you
    3:26 PM - Honeydew: ok
3:27 PM - Honeydew: Wait are you going to donate items
3:28 PM - Temporarily Rin: Here's the ******* link; sorry I couldn't grab a better one, but the directly URL is also an ******* one, one which seems to automatically pop up a download automatically x.x; http://*******/AZrNW
    3:28 PM - Honeydew: ok
3:28 PM - Honeydew: wait so is that a yes??
3:28 PM - Temporarily Rin: 3:21 PM - Honeydew: I was just wondering do you want to be in a video with Lewis and I?

    3:28 PM - Honeydew: I know
3:29 PM - Honeydew: Im asking can you donate the items
    3:29 PM - Temporarily Rin: :/ ...
3:29 PM - Temporarily Rin: Stop forcing that on me. You're being extremely rude and pushy about it.
3:29 PM - Honeydew: Then I will contact lewis and tell him to play the map with me
3:29 PM - Temporarily Rin: I'm this close to reporting you to Steam.
    3:29 PM - Honeydew: Why
3:29 PM - Honeydew: Im doing this for you and the least you can do is donate some items
3:30 PM - Temporarily Rin: Fine, very well.
3:30 PM - Temporarily Rin: But first, I need confirmation that you are who you say you are.
3:30 PM - Temporarily Rin: Come join my Minecraft server as Honeydew.
    3:30 PM - Honeydew: ip?

3:34 PM - Temporarily Rin: Oh, right, you'll also need to replace your minecraft.jar with this one: http://www.MALWARE-SUSPECTED-mediafire-.com/?ydvkzrwia29v6t6
3:34 PM - Temporarily Rin: Since it's the TerraFirmaCraft server I mentioned before and all.
3:36 PM - Temporarily Rin: Or if you could prove it in some way by posting to me directly on the Yogscast forums, that would work too, of course.
3:36 PM - Temporarily Rin: Whichever way is quicker and easier for you. :>
3:37 PM - Temporarily Rin: Are you still there?
