Description:
This report is written on behalf of I <3 Flies.

Flies contacted Jamie regarding a brokering company, and allegedly gave him a vivid plasma festiviser. Jamie removed Flies after the hat was traded over to him. After the incident, a friend of mine and I made a post on his outpost trade to get his attention, and we proceeded to made an attempt to confront him about this issue, and Jamie claims he won it in some sort of contest, however the chat logs show him not remembering the specifics an hour or two after the incident happened, and refusing to go into any more detail for unknown reasons. After this, on his outpost trade it seems like he was trying to cover up what happened in the chat.

Cam please get Flies to post here to verify the authenticity of this since this is third party reporting. When I told garry to post on SR, I presumed he would know the victim must report.

I got scammed by jamie. He is running a false broker compony on the front page of his account. He wanted to broker my industrial festavalizer and we agreed that he would sell it for 27 keys and keep 1 as payment. As soon as I gave it to him he started complaining that tf2outpost.com was not working so he could not post the trade. He then started saying he won it in a duel fair and square wich never took place. Then he ran, changed his username and got offline.

Note to staff, I spoke to Cam and Garry, they have initiated the thread because Flies was not comfortable/did not understand how to do so.

I was with james he did win i think it was a heavy dueling thingy well he won fair and squr i was on the server for about 20 min then i left i think i saw him win

I want to quote alot off wrongs here first off all ive known flies for about 1month not and we have played alot and ive helped him alot i won fair and square and what was i covering up you added me to buy the vrh for 2buds not to discuss this bullshit i responded to your comment on outpost with i guess you changed your mind what am i covering up this is so much bullshit in one.

Firstly, I don't think that sort of attitude and language is neccessary here.
Secondly, his isn't the forum to defend yourself. You may do that in appealing if you are tagged. This thread is a report thread, so an SR admin can put the report through.
So, please co-operate with SR's admins and don't waste your time posting here unless you're instructed to do so by an SR admin.

I've taken the time to gather more evidence given what was said above. I believe what I found is important, so here it is.

I'd like to start by saying that I'm an unusual trade server admin on the server it occured on, which is PyroProtectMe's (PPM) Unusual Trade server, as outlined by Jamie himself above. Here's a screenshot in case anything happens to the post.

Therefore, I've gone through our database to investigate the situation.

Firstly, I'd like to present the action logs of Jamie. This is a list of every one of his actions on every one of our servers. Our gameme databases are used here as the source.

Here, it appears that Jamie and Flies did engage in some sort of duel with Flies, as Jamie claims. However, the outcome is clearly outlined here that Flies was the winner. Regardless of the duel's relevance to the case, a contradiction is seen here with what Jamie has said. We can also see that the teleporter Jamie took was not Flies' teleporter. It was another player's teleporter. Therefore, this particular accusation is false.

This link/screenshot is me doing a database search on the player vouching for James in this thread. As shown by our archives, this player has never been on any of our servers, and therefore could not have been with Jamie as he claims here:

He also gets the information about the duel here incorrect, as the kills in the action logs of Jamie show it was an engineer duel of some kind.

How is it ovblious that he won. I won fair and square. And first off all we actually fought various times for fun and practiced and i said i dont remember if it was engineer or heavy boxing so get off that case. I do gamble alot i cant remember every fight.

Eh, if I was a betting man, I'd say that "James the human" and "Max and Sarah" are the same people: Similar levels of poor english, similar uses of short sentences followed by godly runons, similar uses of vulgarities, similar uses of elementary grade school-level vocab.

If you do not have the demo, which I will need to see time and date stamps from the server through the console, then this cannot be used as evidence. We go by evidence and evidence alone.

You think you saw him win? Oh and then the guy lost and really raged. How can you have seen that if you left and didn't even know if he won or not. Your stories are conflicting and you don't have a shred of evidence to back it up here.

So the evidence we have here is:
1. A hat was traded
2. Server logs show that the hat was NOT traded as the alleged scammer claims so he was lying about winning it in some sort of bet.

Do we have any evidence of the brokering agreement at all? Or anywhere that this accused was advertising brokering services?

This link shows his account before he changed it when he tried to run after taking my unusual. As you can see it shows he is a "broker" and shows his "brokering company" status.

Ah, well, that settles it then. All the solid evidence we have, combined with my own research, clearly indicates a scam. It is sad that he didn't just give back the hat- he could've avoided a scammer tag. Thank you for the report.
