Description: Not at all certain how I encountered him. Likely saw my backpack via my posts on TF2Outpost and was interested in getting both of my unusual hats (despite not being interested in trading them). I am not sure if this would be called an attempted scam or just ignorance, regardless I feel it might be worth looking into being that he has already been through quite a few trades and appears to know what he is doing. After I told him the general estimates of the hats I've gotten in the past it appears he deleted me off his friends list before he attempted to do anything further.

Again, like I said, I'm not entirely sure if it was an attempted scam or pure ignorance. Considering his backpack isn't full of anything too valuable (besides the hats and such) it might be entirely possible that it is an alternate account of a confirmed scammer. A friend of mine recommended that I report him regardless of the circumstance.

I am actually surprised to see this report. This guy is on my friends list. He is a l4d2 player (something like 3000 hours iI believe) and not much of a TF2 player. It may well be possible that he did not know about the prices. I'll try to talk to him later today when I get home from work in about 4-5 hours. I don't have access to steam chat at the moment, only web browser. From what I know he has no alternate account.
