You bid on an item. Isn't it up to you to judge if the price you offer is fair to you? From reading the chat log, I see no evidence of a scam. This happens daily on Ebay when people bid, sometimes paying prices they regret later. Personally I like happy customers and I reverse trades in such situations, he chooses not to.
