I accepted their friend request, having not read the comment first. We then had the following chat:

After they claimed to have lost the earbuds, I went onto scrap.tf to check their trades; it then became apparent that they did not, in fact, have an account on scrap.tf at all.

After they said they would tell their friend to add me, they removed me on Steam and deleted the comment they left on my profile.
