What happened? Description: Person claimed to have Sonic Generations key, wanted 4 TF2 keys for it. Keys were sent and the game key was sent, however the key was invalid and the scammer probably made excuses as to why it didn't work and said she got it from a friend. She attempted to lie about doing stuff to avoid sending the TF2 keys as a refund. She seems to have positive rep and it very well could be possible that the key simply was invalid and their was no intent to scam. However with her refusing to refund the keys I'm assuming she's scamming. Due to the fact that the key appears invalid I have not censored it in the pictures as it proves she tried to scam. I tried to scam her back in an effort to get the items back however this backfired as she was no longer cooperative after this. She then proceeded to block me and him. The sad thing is, she seems legit if her rep is anything to go by however this is just bullshit.

Nothing legit about this guy, the rep on his profile is bullshit and not trustworthy as he can remove what he wants from there; I too learned this the hard way as he scammed me today. In my case he just ran away with my gift and refused to give any key, claiming it didn't show in his inventory (was marked as redeemed in my gift history).

Too bad I didn't check everything about him enough, he was banned on another community site already, and he's still active on a tf2 trade one. Anyway, there's nothing unintentional about the way he acts.

I and at least two other people where scammed by her at the same time. She gave bs reasons as to why she couldn't give me anything or what happened to my codes. Someone did post a negative comment but it was deleted soon after to hid her thievery.

Due to a backlog of scam reports, and to focus on the ones where items or money were lost, we are freezing the below types of reports. Please report these scam types to our partner communities if they accept them.
    • Fakerep reports:
      • Please report to the community where the fakerep is posted.
        • SteamRep does not maintain reputation threads and does not see profile rep as legitimate. These reports are best addressed by the communities that maintain such threads.
    • CD Keys/Game Code scam reports:
      • Please report to the community where the trade originated and make a steam support ticket. https://support.steampowered.com/
        • Game keys/codes are impossible to verify as legitimate to begin with or what account the code is redeemed on. Before we only accepted if a user had solid proof, but now are rejecting all such reports.
    • Phishing/hijacking account reports:
      • If you are phished/hijacked you need to make a steam support ticket ASAP https://support.steampowered.com/
      • Report phishing attempts to Valve by using the in-profile report system shown below
        • A lot of victims are not traders or even know they are marked on SR. Valve has made improvements to steam that mitigate the potential loss of items caused by phishers/hijackers; the original reason for tagging such users to begin with.
