With the evidence as it is i cant say i didnt trade with these marked scammers, but what i can say is that when i traded with them i wasnt doing a cash transaction so i didnt bother to check a, my mistake i know, but because i trade all day with people i figured id only check there sr page if i was buying/selling through paypal. This is my first offense on SR besides me being marked when my profile was hijacked. I regret trading with those people and would very much like for my tag to be lifted. thank you for your time

Where does it state that we only tag for trades that involve cash? That has never been the case - it is ANY trade with scammers, cash or items for items, etc... You are obviously a seasoned trader and a bit surprising for you to thnk it is only cash transactions? Please see http://forums.steamrep.com/pages/faq/

What are the penalties for trading or buying from SCAMMERs?

If you knowingly trade with scammers, you are putting your reputation at risk. SteamRep's policy is to be understanding when an innocent trader makes a mistake or when the monetary value is relatively low. Yet, we cannot encourage scammers to profit from their theft.

• New traders: New traders who are unaware of SteamRep will not receive penalties to their reputations, but will receive a one-time warning.
• First offense:
  • Item/Game trades: You will receive a one-time warning for any high-value item or game trade with a SCAMMER. (This warning will be a temporary CAUTION tag that will be removed when you contact SteamRep admins.)
  • Cash trades: You will receive a CAUTION reputation tag for buying high-value items from a marked scammer. Helping scammers profit is not something we can encourage.
• Second offense:
  • You were already warned: You will receive a CAUTION reputation tag.
  • You already have a CAUTION tag: You will receive a SCAMMER reputation tag.
• Third offense: You will receive a SCAMMER reputation tag.

i was never warned, nor was i put on a caution.

Surely this should be a caution at best? Seems very excessive to mark as a scammer for this especially with no prior caution or warning.
