This guy came to me, wanting a desert marauder. He then tells me he'll pay an anger painted 216... paint for it and I offer to help him look for one. After I bought one for 2.33 ref, he didn't do the trade he contracted to.

Clearly he was either trolling or just messing with you. I don't think this is a scam since he didn't say what he will pay for it.
