Hi all. Recently, I was tagged , details can be found here - http://forums.steamrep.com/threads/report-76561198059066628-trad3-ra1der.5880/. However, I would like to get myself untagged, as I believe that this is a misunderstanding rather than a scam. Unfortunately, it's a relatively long story, so it might get a bit long :/

According to the chat in the above thread, the deal was his Strange Huntsman (which he gave beforehand) for $10 in a new account Steam Wallet, Athena2012. We agreed that I would set up the Steam account/email address, and I told him it would take about 3 days for the money to come through with Paypal.

So after 3 days, the money is through and the accounts are set up, and I PM him telling him that all is good to finish the deal. Unfortunately, he now tells me that he set up a Paypal account, and that he now wants $15! I find out he is a scammer, we argue, and (to my mistake) it ends with me saying "the deal is for $10, take it or leave it" and removing him. I don't have screens of this last chat (accidentally delete), but hopefully the victim can vouch that this convo took place.

I had no intention of scamming him, I just wished to hold it until we could negotiate again another deal. I felt that, since I had set up both accounts plus put the money through Paypal, that I had fulfilled my end of the deal and he was breaking our agreement. I agree now that regardless, it is wrong to keep an item of someone else's, even if they are scammer alt, becuase it is STILL his ownership. I would like to mention that in almost the month I still held the Huntsman, my profile remained open, and I did not try to pass it on or sell it in any way!

Why I should not be tagged:

I have alot of rep on my Outpost profile from successful trades, and I have never chargebacked in $500+ in transactions. To show that I am not a scammer in my intentions, I have some screenshots of successful trades I made with other people AFTER the incident:

Unfortunately, Paypal limited my account soon after because of 'spike' in spending. In the end, I believe that this was misunderstanding, I simply wished to re-negotiate with him about our agreement, which I believe he broke (which made me mad at the time). I kept the Huntsman, and did not try to resell it. However, I accept however that it is still wrong what I did, because people will not necessarily think what you are thinking, and to someone outside this looks like scam. I am MORE than happy to return the Huntsman to him, and put this behind me (as of yet, he is still offline when I am online). And lastly, sorry for writing so long!

Just messaging here to ask how much longer it will be till my case is looked at, I honestly believe this was a simple misunderstanding and can be resolved quickly - but it has been over 3 months since my appeal and there hasn't even been a reply yet. I response on when we might be able to get this case moving would be nice, thanks - it's just I thought it would only take a month at most

In terms of item restoration we do not discriminate whether the person has been tagged as a scammer or not. In most cases, I would ask you to return in it to start your appeal.

HOWEVER in your case wait for now. Where is the chatlog detailing that you had set up a new account and had put money through paypal on the deal of $10? I need to see the actual trade agreement which you believe he broke. Also if you could PM me,the paypal transaction which you undertook at the time as well ("Start a Conversation" with me).
