Here's my side of the story.
Yesterday afternoon, you added me at about 3:00 PM, offering to sell me earbuds. I have multiple advertisements set up around various forums so it was perfectly normal, not like an invite out of the blue. I ran a steamrep background check on you as well as checked the item histories on the acquired earbuds. They were clean.

So I bought 3 earbuds from you, then another 5 after you notified me you had sold some of your unusuals. You removed me sometime yesterday, but hell, I tried to add you again today in hopes of buying some more from you. I had no idea your account was hijacked.

It was whoever hijacked you that sold them to me. You will get your items back once Valve confirms your items were hijacked.

Apart from words, I think the biggest thing going for me is that I have been a long-term trader for many years. I make a pretty penny selling legitimately acquired hats, and I have no reason to try and scam or hijack anyone's account.

In addition, do you really think I would go ahead and trade items from a hijacked account, obviously with an inventory history, to my 4 year, 1,900 hour, 15-page rep account? Really? I know how scammers and hijackers evade, and that's the dumbest possible thing you could do.

Well, anyways, I'm really sorry for your loss, but Valve will reimburse you in time. Hopefully this gets all sorted out. Admins, let me know if any additional data is needed on my end.

I bought three buds from him yesterday, and would have bought more if I had more in paypal. Didn't suspect a thing as the account wasn't/isn't marked. /twocents

To add just a bit, he seems to have been hijacking accounts with a link to an alleged "hat copier/creator program". You'll likely get your items back from valve, but it's a shame that more s✿✿✿ will be duplicated because you wanted some free hats.
