Please tell us about yourself (job, school, hobbies, etc)
Currently working in a specialist construction trade as an architectural glass and metal technician. This job consists of the installation of glass in industrial buildings such as, but not limited to, skyscrapers. Potentially will attend post-secondary to pursue a carrier in policing in the beginning of 2019. My hobbies mostly consist of active video game playing as well as socializing with friends in an available discord. I'm also an active Recruit Specialist, Forum Mod, and Server Admin for a non-partnered community. I spend a lot of my free time on the forums handling server admin applications. Also other forum related activities such as handling ban appeals, scam reports, and community issues. I've been working for this community as a volunteer since June 15th, 2015.

Why do you want to be a SteamRep moderator, and what makes you feel you're a good candidate?
I currently wish to be a SteamRep moderator for the soul purpose of being able to aid in fraud/scam prevention in the steam community. Also, wish to be able to aid in response and review times for scam reports. Finally, I feel I'm a good candidate for this position with years of forum experience. General thorough review steps of applications, reports, and appeals. I've had plenty of experience in dealing with cheaters, scammers, and general misconduct.

    Past administrative experience:
Current Recruit Specialist, Forum Mod, and Server Administrator for TF2Swapshop. Handle Administrator applications, forum appeals and reports. Former Senior Administrator for a retired community. This community was named Gameshock and was partnered with TFCrew. I handled all TF2 related subjects as well as the TF2 Specific Staff. The TFCrew consisted of many popular TF2 Youtubers and community members.

List Steam trading communities you are / have been active on and in what capacity (user, mod, admin)

No, I have a clean record.

    Other questions or comments:
No, I have a full understanding of this position. How long a potential review might take, as well as the roles and requirements of the position.

    Hello Lunarium.

Apologies for the delay in getting back to you. Are you still interesting in pursuing this application?
  3. Yes, I'm still very much interested!

I'm very eager to be able to aid in the work load that Steamrep undergoes on a daily basis. Although I have a full time job and community participation, I can still handle my time excellently.

I appreciate the opportunity and wait patiently on my review.

Just noticed this. Are you able to be available for several hours at a time? Or is it just short breaks from work (presumably including weekends)?
  5. Whatever free time I can make during the weekdays when I get home from work etc. Those are what those hours mainly pertain to. The weekends I have plenty of free-time available!

Can you estimate that time? We're most interested in time when you will have at least 2 or more hours of undivided attention, not repeated 15-minute intervals. If you're multi-tasking and periodically jumping back to SR work, you're generally more prone to making mistakes.
  7. Yes, more specifically you'd get 2+ hours of undivided attention on the weekends. Subjects in which I can chime into as well as checking for updates on the forum is mainly what that small amount of time was suggesting.

    If this helps clarify:
I work a monday-friday full time job. I'm unavailable from my house from 5:30am-5pm at night. I allow myself 4 hours of time to handle responsibilities. This is why I gave a realistic amount of "daily time" to participate as an moderator. Weekends are fully available.

If there is anything else I can clarify, feel free to ask!

Thank you very much for applying to be a Steamrep moderator, and I apologize for the delay in processing your application. Unfortunately, we have decided to decline your application at this time. Feel free to reapply next year if you are still interested, and we would be happy to reconsider your application.
