Okay, bear with me. This is my 1st post here and I know nothing about reporting scammers atm, so apologies if I've done something wrong.

Description: So apparently this guy is a known SR and WA Scammer (Whatever that means) with 4 offences of impersonation and scammer alts against his account. I had a post on outpost saying that I was buying a strange widowmaker for 10 refined, and that the price was negotiable. Sure enough, eventually a guy turns up (This scammer here) and offers 10.33. Being typical of me I'm too immersed in my game to see the chat, and he eventually joins my server, allowing me to realize he's been waiting for me.

Doesn't seem to have a log of the trades I made on the chat (which was a few mind you) and eventually he throws in the strange widowmaker after I put my metal in. Suddenly, he cancels the trade and bursts out with the odd 'OMG I'M SORRY I GOTTA USE THE BATHROOM' remark. 2 minutes later trades again, throws in a regular widowmaker instead. I point this out to him in the trade chat and he says that his widowmakers are right next to each other so it didn't realize, and flips it back to the strange. We ready the trade, however he does not accept, cancels again then removes me from his friends list. His profile and backpack are set to friends only so I could not see this afterwards.


Alright. So long story short it's pretty clear to me he was trying to scam me out of 10 refined, however I understand that none of the evidence here is enough to prove it. I no longer have the trade chat so cannot put that here. Fortunately I didn't get scammed, so although this isn't really a big deal I figured I'd share it somewhere just incase someone else DID fall for the scam. Not sure if there's anything else I can post here, but thanks for reading.
