I'm not sure if he was scamming or just silly/stupid, but if you can read the chat, it looked pretty bad from where I'm at. He added me out of the blue, and offered $150 for my Green Energy Bombing Run (i assume PayPal). He said that a bunch of people said that was market price, but, as the person selling the hat, I think its probably worth around 2 to 3 tops, and so do people offering on it. I asked him if he had rep, and he said Steam Profile, http://imgur.com/RZlI4 , and it was just average "Nice Trader, ++rep stuff". Then, he says he changed his mind, (ditched?), and said he found somebody else. So I'd prefer not to have him banned if it was just me being paranoid, or if he's just new to paypal.

After reviewing the evidence, I don't see any clear evidence here that he was trying to scam you- it looks more like he is just a newer trader. Therefore I'm marking this as rejected but it will be archived in case this user does run afoul later. Given how prevalent scamming is, I always recommend being wary and always report anything suspicious. I can definitely see how it looked bad from your end. Thanks so much for the report!
