I sarcastically posted that i would trade my Scorching Mining Light for His (unknowing that it was duped at this point) and he replied saying "Sure, Add me." and" I'm dead serious." I thought something was up because he was so eager, saying also there was nothing wrong with his hat after i questioned him about being so eager (no screenshot of this) but i thought it was fine since i didnt know of duped items at this point. (i took a long break from tf2 and didnt play it for months so i missed the info of the duping) He traded and we repped eachother, but then i read how the hat may be owned by another person on the backpack checking website, so i tried to get it back from him by playing innocent and pretending not to know about how his hat was duped. He started ignoring me but didnt delete me off his friends list for some 1-2 days i think, where he just said pretty much no and removed me. He blatantly lied to me saying there was nothing wrong with his hat when it was clearly duped, i was just fooled. i just want this guy to be listed as a scammer, or if it goes the other way, ill just be listed as a dumbass for taking the trade anyway. Anyway thank you admins for helping. *1 (where he is saying he traded the same hat, even though his is duped and mine isnt) *2 (one instance where he is eager to trade) View attachment 3264
I also have another picture but i dont think it has any usable evidence. its just me asking him to trade it back and him saying no basically.
Not sure how to edit, so sorry for posting 3 times, sorry. these are both of the hats, mine and his. you can see how the one he traded to me is duped and the one i gave him is good. http://www.tf2items.com/item/1019731061 http://www.tf2items.com/item/1019731057
In no way did the accused deliberately misrepresent what was being traded. There is no scam that took place here.
