We met when I was invited to his group by a friend(who will remain Anonymous, I don't want to drag him into this.) We agreed to do a PayPal trade, I sent him his items, and I didn't get my PayPal money.

UPDATE, Just got this lovely totally-not-canned message from steam support:

Some examples of trades that you should not agree to are:

- Trading items/gifts for money outside of the Steam Community Market
- Trading items/gifts for CD keys
- Trading items/gifts and expecting them to be returned to you through a verbal agreement
- Trading items/gifts for nothing in return in the first trade and expecting to get an item or gift in a later trade
