I don't have logs or the chat window, but this pretty much sums it up:


So basically what happened was I was on skial's LA Turbine server, and this guy asks anyone if they want to trade. I'd recently started trading to actually try to get things I want instead of selling. I had checked out the guy's profile and recognized the name "ASS WALRUS" because he's a regular on the server and seemed like an ok guy who didn't cause much trouble. Originally I was going to trade him something for his Huo-Long Heater , but after a couple of mins of talking, he asked me how much I wanted for my Searing Plasma head Warmer. I told him that it wasn't for sale, but he offered me two craft items(Awesomenauts Badge #89, and Pyrotechnics tote #89) which I had previously never encountered before(Craft no.s). I was skeptical at first, because I knew the price of both without the craft #(1.33, and 1.33-10 in tf2 backpack price voting). But he told me together with the Craft #s they were worth ~3buds. Not being able to find a pc on them with craft #s(I didn't know about backpack.tf at the time), and knowing that my Searing Plasma Head Warmer was worth ~2.6 buds(my friend's an experienced trader and check for me), I accepted the his offer. So far now he's just been avoiding me if I join his game, and I can't add him or comment on his profile, and unlike most reported scammers, he doesn't seem to have an alt account(My hat's still in his backpack).

I know that this was a really stupid failure on my part, but I just thought I post this to warn people...

Also: As I was writing this, I noticed that user TheAverageNoah* has posted a comment on the scammer's page giving him -rep and calling him a scammer...

Sorry but this seems like a sharking report. Steamrep doesn't cover shark reports, though you can try and report him to a community such as MannCo Trading that does.

SR won't be able to touch him, but I can, I believe you. Perm banned on my servers, you might want to talk to MCT.
