    Hello,

I entered into a trade with the said person. We both checked our boxes for the trade and the final box at the bottom for the trade to take place. At that point, when the trade is being processed, the said gentleman canceled the trade and a screen popped up that said trade has been canceled. Upon review of my inventory, the trade had actually gone through where I received the scrap metal from the gentleman and me less an item. In addition, he initially asked me for change for a rec when he already had scrap available in his BP for the trade. The reason I bring this up to your attention is because this behavior is of the scammer sort and the said gentleman is already on probation for trading. I would hate to think that he can get away with this behavior which is of trying to beat the system from the trades.

    Regards
    Savva

When the trade was being processed, he hit cancel and a typical cancel screen came up but the items were traded. Maybe he is trying to scam the system somehow into confusing it during the trade by hitting cancel. Also, he was odd with his remark in calling me a scammer when he received the cancel screen that stated he canceled the trade. I don't know how else to explain the situation, but I do appreciate your time. Thank you.

The valve trading system tends to lagg out, and im sorry that this happened. i didnt cancel the trade, and there is no way u know i did. it might of said the trade has been canceled, but stricktly due to lagg, and i dont remember calling u a scammer. i dont appreciate being reported while on probation for no reason. thank for your time

I am no expert on how the system works, that is why suspicious behavior gets reported. I leave it in the hands of the professionals to review the information. On that note, I believe when one party cancels the trade, it specifically states "trade canceled by ...." When it laggs out it states "timed out". That is why I was taken back by our trade because it stated the former and not the latter. Again, I have reported it and the correct people can investigate it.

NiceAss is correct- there is a different message when the trade is cancelled by the system as opposed to when a user cancels the trade. It should be noted that as you can see, the trade goes through anyway. I will archive this report as all information is useful, though. Thank you. :)
