Basic information:

Country and Timezone: I currently live in Sydney, Australia. Timezone AEDT.
Availability: Realistically I can expect to be able to consistently dedicate an hour or two a day (7-14 a week). However, I can spare additional time here and there when circumstances require it.

Please tell us about yourself (job, school, hobbies, etc)

I recently completed high school, and am expecting my final results within the next week or so. I plan on studying Software Engineering / Information Technology (depending on my results) at a university in Sydney starting in March of next year.

In the meantime, I work at a local Basketball center as a referee / referee coach / supervisor. I started refereeing myself when I was only 11 years old (8 years ago) and have kept with it since, recently attending a nationals tournament run by Basketball Australia. I hope to persist with this to the highest level achievable.

I also hold a strong interest in Computer Programming. I am immensely knowledgeable in a number of languages including PHP, Javascript and SQL. I have programmed a number of Steam Bots (in both NodeJS and using Jessecar’s SteamBot), as well as designed a number of portals and various elements of infrastructure for my community SMT Gaming.​

Why do you want to be a SteamRep moderator, and what makes you feel you're a good candidate?

I feel SteamRep can use all the additional help it can get, in terms of processing the backlog of older reports and relieving the stress of handling incoming reports. In addition to report processing, I possess skills in terms of development, and am happy to lend a hand if and when required. I have a passion for this area and wish to provide all the assistance I possibly can in regards to eradicating fraud within the Steam community, through education of it’s users.

Since first becoming aware of SteamRep in mid 2014 I have remained firmly in the anti-fraud party. I hence submitted an application for my community to become a friend community of SteamRep in February of 2015, we have now gained partner status. Later that year I applied to become an FoG Trade Moderator, and was accepted. I was also a Trade Moderator at Lethal Zone for a period before it shut down. After holding these various positions for a number of years, and being generally well known among SteamRep and its partner communities, I believe I have the skills to take the next step by directly assisting at SteamRep itself.​

I have moderated on a number of communities (listed below) and have extensive experience in dealing with people both on and offline. My job as a supervisor means I get to deal with some interesting people, teaching me that patience and politeness are the key to dealing with such people.

I first moderated on a community called Universal Traders in 2014. I later left this community to focus on running my own community SMT Gaming (“SmexyTrading” at the time), I have moderated and developed this community since then. We use the XenForo forum software for our community and I therefore have extensive experience in the use of administration panel, and developement of addons for the software. During my time at SMT Gaming I have also assisted a number of other communities with development ventures and moderation of their game servers / forums.​

I have never been banned anywhere (maybe a Discord server or two, not sure which ones). I have banned myself from my own community for testing purposes before, this shows on RepTF.​
