    Description:
This guy sent me a chat request though a group common group...with a link that looked similar to steams normal link...at first look I can tell this is fake and to hijack accounts.

Checked the link, it's a phishing site, watch yourself. This isn't really a scam though, probably shouldn't bring it here, just report the user to steam support.

Read the around before telling people what not to do, I have seen so many phishing cases get approved here its not even funny. :)

Fair enough... I'm new to the site anyway, just lurking mostly until my case gets to the top ^^ mine's not all that important, just a scammer warning, some idiot trying to buy my unusual from outpost without making a post, and has 3 scammer friends out of 5 total friends and like 6 hours of tf2 total, if that isn't the recipe for a scammer, I don't know what is. Anyway, enough about me, back to the phishing thing: for the most part, those links that are distributed are hijacked accounts controlled by bots who distribute the links to unsuspecting Steam subscribers, which I can see why it could get someone marked as a scammer, it doesn't seem quite fair to mark them if they didn't do it themselves, but I'm not an admin, that's their decision, lol

Yes, that's probably right but it the passwords are probably change so the real owner does not own it any more there for the bot is doing wrong on his stolen account which should be a scam report...
