Quick-switch scammed my friend, told me that he was getting an anti-freeze Grenadier's softcap for a smoking snaggle. Whilst in the trade, helix asked for 2 more keys and my friend said no, then he said how about some crates? My friend said alright and began to add the crates, whilst doing so Helix had enough time to switch the anti-freeze softcap for a normal one.

1.) Comment here to verify that this is true
2.) Provide proof of the original agreement (such as a screenshot of the chat)

Yes sadly.. this is true and i did get scammed but it was an orbiting fire Ol'Snaggle instead :C I aswell sent a ticket to steam support but i'll doubt they'll act on it :/ And number 2 i can't do sadly, If i could get back into the chat we had over steam i could but i can't add him or comment on his steam rep saying his a scammer. I'm Unsure if he blocked me but i can't add him to look in the chats?? - If you could tell me how or somthing i would be grateful

I'm left with a key backpack from this irritating scammer ;/

Hello, we need the screenshot with the agreement to prove that you agreed on such item, even if it's on a third party site.

I need help getting it though ik it was in the steam chat but he's done somthing so when i send him a friend request it doesn't go through to him so i can't see the chat. If someone can help me getting to see the chat history ill show you :/?

Is it possible for steam to see the chat log if so then they can see but it's impossible for me to get the screen shot Unless he unblocks me .. which he defineatly wont

I've Found out some new information if i can't see them the yh.. Steam does not log your chats, at least not on your local machine, though their new EULA agreement does allow them to review your chat logs, they are stored on their servers or hidden in encrypted files on your desktop as no one has yet discovered them. - If i give them permission can they look for me ?

If he unblocked you, you might get a a fragment from the last convo that is about all. Moral here is always take screenshots.

Well sorry to be the bearer of bad news

Remember this, you got scammed because you did not pay attention. Valve do not touch this, because you clicked "accept". Next time take your time, a lot of nasty people out there (some nice ones too), just do not make the same mistake again.

I am aware of how to report scammers in the correct format or have enough info to get them marked, the problem was lack of info/proof but I guess that can't really be helped in this situation
