Description:

<KFET>TomatoShoe123 joined the "Reddit Bronies" group and said he was selling Skyrim and Dawnguard on the group chat. After viewing his profile and seeing that he was on trade probation, I thought he might be a scammer, and private messaged him. He asked for items worth approximately 3 keys/7.50 USD in exchange for 65 USD worth of games. At this point, I was almost positive that he was a scammer, and proceeded to waste his time for a while, stringing him along.

More evidence he was scamming me came about when he started making reference to imaginary "key deactivation/activation" services that are operated via email, told me that my Ellis' Cap was worth one scrap, and told me that my Earbuds were worth the same as Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, trying to get me to trade my Ellis' Cap and Earbuds for a scrap and CS:GO later on in the trade. In the end, I let him know I knew he was a scammer, and he stopped responding.

It is possible he was not trying to scam me. However, due to the very suspicious behavior here, and his previous history, I am reporting him.

My apologies about how long this is, I had never reported a scammer to SteamRep when I did this and didn't know that shorter chatlogs were preferred, and I was mostly doing it to waste the time of a scammer instead of trying to make the most concise scam proof.

I have a screen recording of the entire thing including the trade window live, but it is very long and I obviously cannot easily upload it to youtube. If video is wanted, I can upload it in parts. I have however uploaded a couple screenshots of the trade window to illustrate some things that are spoken of in the chat window.
