Scammer contacted me trying to buy my a couple of my unusuals. I was reluctant (as this was not what i was looking for) but they offered me a very good price (a little too good which was the first indicator). I then told the trader if they went first i would do it. The trader then asks for my paypal id and claimed to have sent payment. Nothing came through. The trader then claimed to refresh and sent me a screenshot of a pending payment. To my knowledge pending payments don't exist with paypal. The trader then got very aggressive and pushy saying they had already sent the payment and i needed to give them my unusuals. I said i had no payment and would trade nothing without it. The trader then threatened to get an admin and get me trade banned if I did not hand them over. I told them to go ahead I still had no payment and would not trade them. When trader continued to persist I called paypal just to verify (and partially to make record of someone sending fake screenshots of pending payments, Knowing full well the trader was full of it). As suspected paypal said they were lying. Trader continued to persist and I told them i would still not delete them for the remainder of the supposed "pending" time. I did this solely for the sake of trying to find their real account (since upon a quick look through the +rep this is a dummy account. I was unfortunately not able to get any of the id as he deleted all accounts as i was looking the steamids. From what I saw if any one cares there seemed to be at least one other dummy account and two to three main accounts. The trader attempted contacting me after acquiring fifteen keys from another account. Whether or not the account was theirs or they were able to scam someone I do not know. The trader did however delete that person, change their name, profile pic, and country of origin immediately after acquiring them. The trader deleted me by the morning.

It is quite possible to have transactions pending, this happens to me if my funds need to go from bank to PP (can take 3-5 days usually). Most people do not have this issue, because the majority link credit cards etc so funds are instant.

Irrespective, you behaved correctly, there is no onus on you to give up the item he agreed to unless the money actually ends up in your account.

I unfortunately do not have one. I have never reported anyone before and was unsure of the process. Just tried to save what info I could. My apologies for the oversight.
