Hi folks, I realize this is unorthodox and somewhat odd due to the nature of not having a victim or a clear scam attempt, however the details of this are odd enough for me not to want to ignore it, and I was hoping that you guys might find a correlation in your reports where I have not.

Tonight, I accidentally pasted my inventory link into the google search bar instead of the URL bar, and in the list of results that came up was this aforementioned fellow's steam profile. You will note that, for whatever reasons, this person's steam account is set to private currently.

It wasn't always like that, however, and there happens to be a google cache of him leaving very suspicious comments in his own profile: http://webcache.googleusercontent.c...ts &cd=2&hl=en&ct=clnk&gl=ca&client=firefox-a

Alright, so here we have the following:

    - Someone with very few game hours of TF2, according to steamrep google searches of the person
    - A private profile
    - A list of a wide variety of profiles associated with TF2. There are some very nice backpacks in this list (mine being one of them). There are links to backpacks of special interest (saxxy award winners, for example). There are some worthless (but many belonging to random russians, ukraine, etc). And for some reason, links to youtube videos.

Now, I'm thinking to myself, what interest would a random private profiled russian who's barely played TF2 have in my, and other people's backpacks? The optimist in me says he just likes fancy hats/saxxies. The paranoid in me says this is a partial hitlist for an account hijacker.

I apologize in advance if steamrep isn't the place to bring this concern, but I was hoping that you guys might have a little insight as to this guy, whether or not he has scammer alts/friends perhaps on file, or if he has a paper trail from anywhere. Like I say, I can't outright accuse him of anything, but it would be better to report it and be wrong in reporting it than do nothing and have someone get scammed/account hijacked.

Either way though, I figure I'd better make my email and steam account passwords just a tad bit more secure, just in case haha.

    - profile isn't private: http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198069692447
    - With no comments there anymore or any real info of what was so "suspicios" I cant know the direction to investigate.
    - The account is F2P, has only some TF2 items.
    - no immediate alts found with a quick search.
    - inventory link with a custom url of yourself will give random results.

    Nothing to follow up with.

    Archiving report.
