Unfortunately, I didn't get a screenshot because he canceled the trade as soon as I hesitated to ready up. Nothing particularly interesting was discussed in the IM window.

Details:
The scammer tried to pull a bait and switch on me with a Blizzardy Storm Sergeant's Drill Hat for my Orbiting Fire Sultan's Ceremonial. He first added the hat to the trade, then I told him I wanted to look it up. I came back a couple minutes later after looking at screenshots of it and checking the price on backpack.tf. It was worth slightly more than my hat so I expected him to ask for sweets. I added the hat and he immediately clicked ready. Smelling something fishy, I stalled and started googling to figure out how to find if someone is a scammer. While I was in the web browser, he un-readied and asked me to add 3 weapons. I then offered him a strange sticky launcher instead, since I would still be getting a good deal and I didn't need it. He told me no, he needed exactly 3 weapons... I then removed the strange and added 3 random weapons. As I added the last one, I saw him very quickly switch out the unusual for a uncraftable version of the same hat. I moved my cursor to the chat window to chastise him and before I could say anything he canceled the trade, blocked me, and removed me from his friend list, obviously noticing my hesitation.

As of posting this, his nick is still the same as when he tried to scam me, but since I accepted his request about a day ago he had already changed his nickname about 8 times.

His name will be checkable through his SR link so no worries there, very well handled

Without screenshots, I'm afraid the report is merely hearsay.
