    Screenshots:
    - Pictures of chat (required)
Unfortunately, I closed out of chat before I could take a screenshot. But I have a copy-paste of what the conversation was in the section below.

    - Trade window if relevant (please keep the practice of chatting in normal chat, and just only trade in the trading window).

    - Screen shot of profile page if the offender is impersonating admins, middleman, or trusted traders. (showing steam community link, pic, nickname, friends and groups)

As you can see, the user is constantly changing his profile picture and screen-name. The one in the red box is the username he used to scam me.

Description: A (short) description of where/how you encountered the person, and the deal, the attempted scam, and the outcome. The pics should tell the full story.
A user added me (not sure at what point and time) and then changed their profile name and picture to that of my trusted friend's (Snorlax is H4x - it's likely they checked my dotabuff for who I played with most frequently). They proceeded to message me and pretend to be my friend and even make small-talk (I asked about his girlfriend and he said he was using her computer); eventually, they brought up that they wanted to borrow one of my TI3 couriers in an upcoming scrim and return it right after. This seemed like something my friend would ask for and so I opened a trade with him to lend him the courier. After I confirmed the trade, I realized his profile was private and that it was a scam. It was at this point, he asked whether he could use another courier instead; I tried to get him to trade me back the fezzle in exchange for an osky. He unfriended me then. This case sounds extremely similar to what this user experienced here: http://dev.dota2.com/showthread.php?t=103039 - in fact, he used the same wording with "stand-in support." So it's likely that it's the same scammer or one that uses the same scamming technique.

Copy a transcript of the chat below that.
    Code:
    Snorlax is H4x: hey
Fwosh: woah how are you online already
    Snorlax is H4x: what?
Fwosh: are you on june's computer
    Snorlax is H4x: yeah
    Fwosh: oh cool
Fwosh: I thought you somehow got home already
    Snorlax is H4x: nah
Snorlax is H4x: about to play support as a stand-in for an upcoming scrim
    Fwosh: neat
Snorlax is H4x: could I borrow one of your couriers for the game and return it right after?
Fwosh: lol and then you disappear and are seen again
Snorlax is H4x: lol yeah right
    Fwosh: k sure sure
-And then I send the trade-

I know it's not the most concrete evidence, but I'm not an active trader (only someone who went to Seattle to watch TI3 and nab the couriers) and this was the first time I encountered a trade scammer and thus, didn't take the necessary precautions. I hope this is enough to bring some justice to the situation - I know that my item is likely lost at this point, but it would bring me peace of mind if the scammer can eventually be banned and not profit from this malicious act.
Thanks so much and please let me know if there's any specific information you require - I will do my best to provide!
