I should checked the trade over, but w/e. As soon as i confronted him, he deleted me.

That can be classed as sharking. It's up to the traders to check and count what they get and you to do a trade you have to "accept" (mark yourself as ready -> make trade) twice and that's also there so that the traders would have the time to check and also make sure that they get what the ask for.
